Seminar on “CREDIT & MARKETING LINKAGE TO MSMEs AND EXPORTERS”

On the occasion of ODISHA MSME INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR-2018, a State level Seminar on “CREDIT & MARKETING LINKAGE TO MSMEs AND EXPORTERS” was organized by OASME in association with MSME Department, Odisha, DI, Odisha and OSIC Ltd. on 6th March,2018 at IDCO Exhibition ground Conference Hall, Bhubaneswar.

The Seminar was inaugurated by Amb. Kezaala Mohammed Baswari B., Dy. High Commissioner, Uganda High Commission as Chief Guest. Among other dignitaries, Dr. Arun Ku. Panda, IAS, Secretary MSME Deptt., Govt. of India, Sri Sandeep Nayak, IAS, Mg. Director, NCDC, Govt. of India, Sri L. N. Gupta, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, MSME Deptt., Odisha, Sri Deep Shekhar, IRS, Commissioner, Customs, Sri Utpal Gokhale, General Manager, Export & Import Bank of India and Sri S. R. Pradhan, IAS, Director of Industries, Odisha were graced the occasion as Guests of Honour and delivered their views in respect of promotion of MSME sector of Odisha. A brain storming interaction was held between the participating MSME entrepreneurs and dignitaries on the Dais on various issues relating to Banking, Marketing, GST etc. The entrepreneurs were asked questions on different sectors and the Officers on the Dias were clarified. In his speech, Er. Satwik Swain, Secretary General of OASME strongly demanded to strengthen EP&M, Odisha, not to introduce GEM in Odisha without proper awareness and change the attitude of Bankers on the MSME entrepreneurs and co-operate them while receiving an application for loan/finance. The Seminar was grand success and was appreciated from all corner. More than 400 MSME units including Bankers, Govt. Officials and Exporters were attended the Seminars.

On same day evening, a delegation of Office Bearers of OASME comprising of Mr. Sanjib Sahoo, V.C, (WZ), Er. Satwik Swain, Secy. General, Mr. Abhilish Dash, Addl. Secy. General, Mr. Pradip Singh, Jt. Secy. Organization, Mrs. Jyotirmayee Mohanty, Chairperson, OASME Women Wing and others were met to the Dy. High Commissioner, Uganda High Commission at Hotel Mayfair, Bhubaneswar and discussed various matters relating to export of different products from Odisha to Uganda. The Dy. High Commissioner highly appreciated to-day’s programme and assured to extend full support & cooperation towards export of Odisha based products from Odisha to Uganda. He invited the Secy. General and other Office Bearers of OASME to Mumbai for a detail discussion in this respect.

A separate stall was opened on behalf of OASME in MSME International Trade Fair-2018 from 5th to 10th March,2018 to provide free counseling and guidance to the existing & prospective entrepreneurs and Start-ups. On recommendation of OASME,12 SC, ST and Women Entrepreneurs were taken stall in the Trade Fair free of cost and display & sold their products.
